Eleighsia’s Perfect Wedding Day
How did your partner propose?
In the pub on his 30th Birthday in front of all family and friends.
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?
Don’t stress as it is not going to help. Also make sure you take a couple of moments throughout the day to take some time just the 2 of you.
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
Fross was my first option as they were recommended by so many people. I tried on various different shapes so I could get the feel. My dress was the 3rd I tried on. I tried on 2 more after it and went back to it as I just knew.
How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?
2.
Do you know the name of your dress designer?
Justin Alexander.
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
The colour, pattern and the off the shoulder is so me!
Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?
Yes! I wore a veil, pearl earings, matching necklace and a bracelet! Earing’s and necklace were my something new and my bracelet was my something old/ something borrowed from my bridesmaid.
Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.
We got married at holy cross church in Uckfield as my husband (Tim) is the director of music there so we have such a strong connection. The reception was at the sussex barn in hellingly. Rustic, relaxed and perfect! We are both very laid back people so we wanted something that matched our personality. We both love the outdoors so when we found the barn, we knew we just had to have it.
What was your favourite moment from the day itself?
Seeing my husband to be down the aisle and getting to marry him!
Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?
Make sure you get a photo of you in your dress with it all looking perfect. I didn’t get one photo of just me in the dress with it all laid out perfectly and its my biggest regret.
Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?
We got married on Saturday 6th August 2022 and went on honeymoon the following Tuesday (9th). I have family that live out in Spain so we hired a private villa with its own pool for 11 days and just relaxed! Visited family a couple of evenings but the rest of the time, it was just us two. Super relaxing!
Would you mind sharing details of any other suppliers you used? Ideally by their Instagram handle but if not, just a business name will do!
