Kate’s Intimate Wedding Day

How did your partner propose?

In Thailand on the beach under the Chinese New year fireworks.

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

Enjoy everything as the day will go so quickly.

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

I only went to fross as I live in Uckfield. I tried on 10 and then made my decision.

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

10

Do you know the name of your dress designer?

Eddy K – I had the Olympia dress

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

The fit and the colour was blush

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

Yes a veil that Helen made for me.

Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.

We had it at port lympne as we both live animals. It was a big venue but felt intimate as we only had 50 guests. It was quite chaotic as we also had our 4 month old baby to look after but we really enjoyed ourselves.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

Our vows that we wrote ourselves.

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

As I said enjoy every second and take time to take it in. We had 10 mins to ourselves just after walking g back down the aisle and it was great as we didn’t have anytime after that to just breath.

Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?

Yes but after the pandemic slows down and our daughter is a bit older.

What suppliers did you use for your big day?

Photographer – Craig Payne | Venue – Port Lympne | Groom’s suit – Moss Bros | Florist – Sussex Flower Garden | Rings – Penny Farthing Jewelers East Grinstead
