Amy’s Perfect Wedding In Justin Alexander

How did your partner propose?
Christmas day around the tree with our children on our 10th anniversary.
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run-up to your wedding?
To try and make sure you don’t spend your wedding day worrying about your guests and pleasing others, it’s YOUR day, let everyone worry about YOU.
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
A friend recommended Fross to me. I was looking for a really beautiful shop to have my first dress shopping experience, I looked on Instagram and Fross ticked all the right boxes for me, and then I was sold when I saw I could have a VIP appointment! Exactly the kind of experience I was looking for.

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one?
6 maybe.
Do you know the name of your dress designer?
Justin Alexander.
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
I felt beautiful but also still comfortable, I felt like me! I didn’t feel like me in many of the other dresses I tried on and I didn’t really like that.
Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?
Yes, a long veil was bought from Fross.
Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.
I was mostly inspired by my dream venue, it was my dream to get married there before I was even engaged. The pilgrim’s rest, Battle, is a 600-year-old house, it has open fires and is like something from a fairytale. And from there I tried to not worry about too much of a theme and just chose all the things I loved most as I was planning and it worked out perfectly. Real fairytale day!
What was your favorite moment from the day itself?
Walking down the aisle, I wish I could do that again.
Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?
Just have fun and remember the day is all about you! What will be on the day will so just have fun and enjoy it.
Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (about your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?
We did a few days away in London. Our Dream was to go to Iceland and the Blue Lagoons and we will do that when travel is safe and more straightforward.
Would you mind sharing details of any other suppliers you used? Ideally, by their Instagram handle but if not, just a business name will do!
