Beth’s Barn Wedding

How did your partner propose?

We went to New York just before Christmas and he proposed by the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park (where my favourite scene from Gossip Girl takes place!)

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

Don’t stress the little things.

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

I had a look online at the kind of styles I would like and then booked to come to Fross, where I found my dress!

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

I think about 7.

Do you know the name of your dress designer?

My dress was the Monica – Modeca

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

I loved the shape and the beading was so beautiful, there was something new to find every time you looked at it.

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

I wore a veil I also purchased from Fross!

Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.

We had our wedding at Hendall Manor Barns, a venue I had sung in for the first wedding the ever held there. It had rustic elements (such as lanterns for the table numbers) and white pumpkins (as it was October.) We just tried to include things we loved with little nods to our relationship here and there.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

It was torrential rain on our wedding day, and the photographer pulled us out into the rain and into an outside barn. He told us to look out the barn and at that moment we were battered by the wind and the rain, but it was so much fun and we got our favourite photo out of it!

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

Make sure you take some time out with your new husband/wife during the day, otherwise you will barely see them!

Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?

We went on a minimoon to Devon straight after the wedding for a break, but we are booked to go to Disneyland Orlando in March!
