How did your partner propose?
In Venice on my 30th Birthday.
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run-up to your wedding?
Don’t worry about others making decisions based on what you want!
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
Looked online and on social media for local stores.
How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one?
I lost count… So many!
Do you know the name of your dress designer?
Modecca.
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
I didn’t when I first put it on. Hahaha. I thought it made me look old. Then I tried loads more on, tried it on again, and fell in love. I loved the neckline and low back as well as the sleeves.
Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?
Veil.
Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.
We wanted a Mediterranean feel. We love Spain and Italy and wanted an outside wedding vibe. Although I’m not sure my dress fitted this theme!!
What was your favorite moment from the day itself?
Instead of a speech, my husband had a personal song written for us… At the end of the night, we played it again and everyone sang at the top of their lungs whilst John and I were on the balcony looking down at everyone singing and singing ourselves
Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff… Or the weather nothing can dampen spirits on the day.
Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (about your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?
We were due to go to St Lucia but of course, this couldn’t happen due to covid so we went to Devon in a shepherd’s hut with a hot tub and incredible views watching the sunset every night. We were able to take our puppy too!! It was perfect!
