Christina’s Perfect Wedding Day

How did your partner propose?

I have always been a massive Tottenham Hotspur Football fan and my partner organised to propose to me during a tour of the stadium at pitch side with the message going around the stadium boards. We were the first to get engaged at the stadium.

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

My florist told me that I needed to trust my suppliers and let them take the stress.

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

Lots of watching say yes to the dress and searching photos

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

It was the second dress I tried on.

Do you know the name of your dress designer?

Justin Alexander

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

It was an instant emotional reaction when I saw myself in the dress I burst into tears because I knew my late nanny would have thought it was beautiful.

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

I wore a head piece and a veil

Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.

We wanted a very traditional day at our hotel venue but with some real special touches like a vintage ice cream van and our best man performing some songs for us.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

The ceremony was very emotional and heartfelt definitely my favourite part of the day.

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

Take time on your day to just stand back from everything and take it in because you will be truly taken over by everything and those moments are priceless.

Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?

We have two young children but we did manage to get a couple of nights away.
