Gaea’s Rustic Sussex Wedding

Gaea’s stunning Modeca bridal gown was the perfect fit for her rustic wedding at Long Furlong Barns in Sussex. We caught up with her to find out how it went.

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

Enjoy every moment!

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

From recommendation by a friend, I then looked up your Instagram page and website and saw several dresses that I loved.

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

Around 15-20.

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

I went for the gorgeous Findon dress by Modeca Bridal. It’s very unusual with the chunky lace and mocha colour underneath the Ivory lace. I thought it suited my body shape despite it being completely different to the style of dress I thought I would like.

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

I wore a long veil, pearl earrings and a pearl necklace.

Tell us about your wedding day.

We went for a rustic theme in a beautiful Grade II listed Barns at the foot of the South Downs with views of fields and nearby farms. We tried to keep everything fairly simple but with plenty of entertainment so it was fun for all of our guests.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

Enjoy every moment as despite people telling me how fast it goes I couldn’t believe when the day was over and how much I loved every minute of it!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We had our honeymoon 2 days after the wedding in Vilamoura, Portugal.
