Kelly’s Perfect Wedding Day
How did your partner propose?
On Christmas Day 2009, our first Christmas in our first house! We didn’t get married until 2018, so it was a long engagement!
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?
Take time to sit back and take everything in because it goes so fast! It really does!
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
I had an idea in my head, which was slightly different to the dress I chose! I just kept trying on different dresses until I found the one!
How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?
Lots! I went to around 7 or 8 different dress shops before coming to Fross. I should have gone there first!!!
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
The fishtail, the lace and the train!!!
What bridal accessories did you choose?
I borrowed a hair slide as my ‘something borrowed’ and I was bought earrings, a necklace and bracelet by my mum.
Tell us a little about your wedding day.
It was perfect! The weather was gorgeous, we had all our family and friends there and I loved being the centre of attention in my dress!!!
What was your favourite moment from the day itself?
Walking down the aisle when I saw everyone for the first time.
What theme did you pick for the wedding?
Slightly traditional but very relaxed, we wanted everyone to just enjoy the day. We had a bouncy castle for the kids in the evening.
What advice would you give to other brides-to-be?
The same advice I was given, take time to sit back and take it all in. Also, don’t get stressed and hung up on small details, they won’t affect your day in the end.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Rhodes, Greece, it was lovely 🙂
Who were your suppliers for your big day?
Cake m&s cake, which we decorated.
