Kylie’s Perfect Wedding Day
How did your partner propose?
Two days before my birthday he arranged a meal at Hotel Du Vin in Brighton and unbeknown to me, whilst we were out he had written a plan to rearrange our living room with candles, rose petals, and a bottle of bubbly for his mum and sister to get ready whilst we were out. A video recorder and Ed’s Sheerans “perfect” were playing once we got home, and as I walked into our living room he got down on one knee and proposed! I was in total shock as it was so unexpected!
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?
Not to stress about the smaller things and to make choices for ourselves and not to please others.
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
Fross was the first bridal boutique I’d visited. It was a sample sale event in 2019 and I purely went to get an idea on styles and prices,,,,, I certainly didn’t expect to find “The One” on my first visit!
How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?
I had chosen 6 off of the rails, and it was the 3 rd dress in! I cried and my mum cried, that’s when we knew!
Do you know the name of your dress designer?
It was a stella York gown 6753
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
The stunning neckline, beautiful beading and lace, and the train! Who am I kidding, all of it!
Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?
I purchased a veil from Fross, fingertip length very simple as didn’t want to take away from the dress!
Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.
Our ceremony took place at Pangdean Old Barns, so it was very rustic, vintage and romantic as it’s high ceiling and beams were covered in fairy lights. Canapes and photo’s took place in the gardens nestled in the South Downs with beautiful flowers and herb gardens, followed by a wedding breakfast in the barn and then a disco.
What was your favourite moment from the day itself?
I couldn’t name just one moment, there were so many magicial and memorable parts!
Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?
Choose a day that you and your partner can look back on with no regrets! Also, if your budget can stretch to a videographer as well as a photographer, then go for it! The day goes by so quick, and having something you can look back on, over and over is truly special.
Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?
We took our daughter to Disneyland Paris four days after our wedding but only told her the day before! It was so exciting knowing we still had the surprise lined up and to look forward to! We do plan to visit Italy, the Amalfi coast just the two of us hopefully in the future as our belated honeymoon!
Would you mind sharing details of any other suppliers you used? Ideally by their Instagram handle but if not, just a business name will do!
