Lucy Jo’s Perfect Wedding Day

How did your partner propose?

Joe proposed in Norfolk in my grandparent’s estate down by the lake, this is a special place to me and they felt so honoured that Joe chose to propose there.

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

Try not to stress too much, spread things out so you can enjoy all the lead up. Remember all those people are there for you both and it’s your special day.

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

I booked a few wedding boutiques and it was great to try on the dresses in different shops but finding my perfect dress at Fross was an experience I won’t forget.

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

I think I tried on 7 or 8 dresses all together before finding the one and when I came back to it to try it on again I just knew.

Do you know the name of your dress designer?

I believe it was Teresa Atelier.

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

I loved so many things about the dress. The Satin fabric was perfect for the time of the year we got married, the slit added something to it and the square neckline caught my eye as it was just something a little different. I felt like a princess in this dress.

FROSS WEDDING COLLECTIONS – REAL BRIDE QUESTIONNAIRE

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

I brought a veil to go with the dress which was a short waterful one that had a satin edging. I paired this with classic pearls which was my something borrowed and some pearl earrings.

Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.

Our wedding was at Buxted park hotel on the 21st December, we love christmas so this was really special as the hotel was all decorated so well. We wanted a cosy vibe which it certainly was with the fires lit and all our family and friends in one place. We made lots of personal touches to add to our wedding day and we wanted it to be very relaxed and loved that it was all in one location.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

We both loved the morning getting ready with our bridesmaids and groomsmen and of course seeing each other for the first time at the alter and finally becoming husband and wife.

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

Enjoy every moment as it goes so quick, take it all in. We also made sure we went round to speak to our guests in between courses so I would really recommend doing that.

Are you taking a honeymoon and if so when (in relation to your wedding, ie, immediately after, or sometime later) and what are your plans?

We took a mini moon break on New Year’s Eve which was so nice to get away for a few days especially after Christmas too. We have just booked our honeymoon to Japan for the cherry blossom season over the easter holidays.

Would you mind sharing details of any other suppliers you used? Ideally by their Instagram handle but if not, just a business name will do!
