We are so happy for Mary as she was able to have an intimate wedding with her family during coronavirus. With so many brides having to cancel or delay their wedding date, we are celebrating for Mary and so happy you were able to marry the person of your dreams! We loved getting to hear all about the details of her big day.

How did your partner propose?

He proposed by the river at Barcombe mills with a champagne picnic.

What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?

Take your time on the day, don’t rush and try to enjoy the moment.

How did you go about finding your wedding dress?

I was guided by the girls at Fross!

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?

5 or 6….

What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?

I like the bohemian feel and it was comfy and light to wear all day and not get too hot!

Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?

Yes, I wore a belt and a small veil.

Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.

I have a Covid wedding so it was literally just family. We spent the whole day outside and it felt very natural. There were just 14 people including my photographer who is my best friend. The vibe was very easy going and I tried to keep the whole theme like that. I wanted us all to feel relaxed and comfortable.

What was your favourite moment from the day itself?

Arriving at the venue in my sister-in-law’s car playing Ciao Bella Ciao. We drove around Lewes first and the emotion and reality of the situation hit (in a good way 😀).

Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?

Don’t stress about letting other people help. Try and keep an open mind and not worry too much about the small details. Don’t sweat the small stuff. 😅

Are you taking a honeymoon and if so, when and what are your plans?

We have booked 3 now and they’ve all be cancelled. We hope to get away at the end of October – probably Turkey.
