Michelle’s Picture Perfect Wedding Day
How did your partner propose?
He proposed on a casual walk in the fields at Barcombe Mills after a pub lunch!
What’s the best piece of advice you received in the run up to your wedding?
Take time out to make sure you aren’t overloaded with plans, we set ourselves a night for dinner and drinks just myself & my husband and made it a rule to not discuss the wedding. It was lovely!
How did you go about finding your wedding dress?
I had a lot of research done on the type of dress I’d wanted & then found that Fross did Stella York dresses. I went to one shop & that’s where I found my dream dress.
How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?
I only went to Fross & I tried about 9 dresses on, with going back and forth to my dress.
What made you fall in love with the dress that you chose?
I always wanted a fitted dress & backless, although this had a mesh back it was still similar to a backless dress and it was everything I dreamed off.
Did you wear a veil and/or any other bridal accessories?
Hair piece & Veil
Tell us a little about your wedding day – the vibe, what inspired you, etc.
Our wedding day was beautiful & the best day of both our lives. He weather was perfect! There was so much love in the room & everyone was smiling the whole day which made it even more perfect for us.
What was your favourite moment from the day itself?
My favourite moment had to be the Wedding ceremony at the Church, it was a moment my dad and I will cherish forever walking down the aisle.
What theme did you pick for your wedding?
We had a light blue theme with birdcages as our table decoration.
Is there any advice you would be happy to share with other brides?
Don’t be bogged down with getting every detail perfect, 4 weeks before hand everything should usually be paid, take the time to go and have dinner with your fiancé and have some breathing space. The planning & the last 4 weeks are incredibly stressful and it’s good to take some time out. The day will go beautifully regardless and 4 weeks beforehand will not change that.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Seychelles
